Oakley Village Show
9th August 2025

Another very enjoyable village show with 10 Portway cars on display. Lots of sunshine, nice cars and great company. Everyone seemed to enjoy their day despite 3 of the Austins suffering fuel problems. We had planned for a local Paralympian to select the Austin he would most like to take home. Unfortunately he suffered a recent injury and was unable to attend. A replacement in the form of a lady from the St Michaels Hospice kindly agreed to undertake the task, with just 30 minutes to judging time.  The chosen car was Barry's 12/4 Clifton for which he received the trophy of a mounted piston.  We had three other awards to present as follows:-

To the Austin Seven owner who has contributed most in organising and supporting events this year - Bob Olive.

To the  larger Austin owner who has contributed most in organising and supporting events this year - George Molton.

To the Austin Seven celebrating it's 100 Birthday - Richard Joyner's Chummy.

As a thank you for attending all owners received a beer mat featuring their Austin.

To round off the afternoon Sue had baked one of her superb cakes and Joseph had purchased a 100th Birthday cake from one of the village stalls.
